Xbox Rapid Report May 10-14 2021
We’re a big fan of Xbox here at Rapid Reviews UK so join me as I talk you through this weeks news and releases in the Xbox family of consoles. This article is inclusive from 10th to 14th May 2021. Here I’ll aim to cover all the new titles coming this week on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Want information on Xbox Game Pass releases, it’s all here. There’s quite a lot to get through so let’s get going!
Conan Exiles heading to Xbox Game Pass
Conan Exiles, a survival game in the world of Conan is coming soon to Xbox Game Pass. Developer Funcom announced this fantastic news via Twitter very recently. Whilst there is no date announced at the time of writing, this is exciting news for fans of games in this genre. Looking for a change from games like ARK; Survival Evolved? Then this may be worth your time!
Ubisoft announces Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland
The most surprising news this week has to be Ubisoft announcing a third instalment of The Division. Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland will be a standalone free-to-play title. With no release date set in stone. we simply have a window of 2021-2022. Heartland is currently in development by Ghost Recon studio Red Storm Entertainment. Alongside this, there is also a feature-length movie of The Division coming to Netflix, a novel, and a mobile phone adaptation of the game. The Division franchise is nowhere near done and fans will rejoice at this news.
Open Country coming to Xbox on June 3rd 2021
Jason Ryan, Senior Community Manager for 505 games revealed an all-new survival game coming on June 3rd 2021 to Xbox. Open Country covers three huge massive wilderness maps at launch. Mellow Hills, Tumnus Valley and Snowridge. Cleverly, each map represents a different season with weather changes, animals and survival elements. You aim is to stay alive, keep fed and watered and keep safe. Play alone or with a friend in a two-player online co-op and work together to see the next day. There is so much to uncover here in Open Country with vehicles, dogs as companions, fishing boats, and much more.
Death Crown comes to Xbox May 12th 2021
Sliding its way onto Xbox consoles on May 12th 2021. Death Crown makes its mark as a 1-bit strategy game where you play as death herself. The premise is simple, you must destroy the enemy fortress, but in order to do so, you need to generate resources. Death Crown offers three campaigns through more than 90 maps. With plenty of gameplay on offer and a salute to the 1980’s gameplay style, it’s worth a blast!
Rift Racoon comes to Xbox May 12th 2021
Rift Racoon has been available on PC for some time hence the trailer above. The title now jumps its way onto consoles and launches May 12th 2021 on Xbox. Rift Racoon is an intense precision platformer about a lost racoon with the ability of teleportation. Teleport your way through dangerous traps, use your claws to climb walls and jump your way across difficult platforming levels with retro visuals!
Sure Footing comes to Xbox May 13th 2021
Another title that has been on PC for quite some time, over three years to be precise. Sure Footing finally finds its feet with an Xbox release on May 13th 2021. Sure Footing is a fast and frantic infinite runner about four friends saving their world from extinction. The world of Computra is under threat from the evil Ramrafstar and his ferocious minion Deletion Dave, who seek to destroy the partitions that hold everything together.
Exodemon comes to Xbox May 13th 2021
Exodemon is a fast paced first person shooter inspired by the 90s FPS golden age. You must make your way through maze-like levels, destroying hordes of enemies with your monstrous abilities. Combining the destructive power of your symbiotic claws with a fast, sharp and fluid movement, you’ll become an indestructible alien killing machine. Available on May 13th 2021 for Xbox.
Karma. Incarnation comes to Xbox May 14th 2021
This original adventure game explores a love story between two beautiful souls through ingenious humour and a bizarre, hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation style. Our hero’s beloved has been abducted by evil spirits, and the only way to reunite them is to reincarnate himself as a dragon to defeat Evil. But something has gone wrong, and his soul is reborn as a worm named Pip. Now Pip must overcome the challenges of a surreal world, solve mind-bending puzzles, and save his love. Choosing between good and evil, Pip learns the laws of Karma, and his choices define the outcome of the game.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition Comes May 14th 2021 to Xbox
Without a doubt the biggest release of the week and possibly the year so far! This Legendary Edition includes Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and 3 complete with all 40 pieces of downloadable content. Relive the magic of all three original games all completely remastered and re-energised with full optimisation in 4k Ultra HD. The best experience you’ll have with this edition is with an Xbox Series X for sure. Will you take the reigns of Commander Shepard once more and absorb the updated rich and detailed universe? You’d be a fool not to.
Subnautica: Below Zero comes to Xbox 14th May 2021
Subnautica fans will be pleased as a new instalment splashes its way to Xbox on 14th May 2021. Set two years after the original, Subnautica: Below Zero is a new chapter set on an alien planet. With new survival mechanics and the ability to discover areas on land as well as water. Will you find all the answers you need without developing hypothermia?
Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance Is Now Available For Xbox One And Xbox Series X|S
One I missed from last weeks Xbox Rapid Report is the re-release of Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance. With Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance arriving in June, this is a perfect opportunity to scratch the itch now. With enhancements and some visuals redone in 4K quality, will you return to loot, attack and evade your way through the levels once more? Or will you experience this classic for the very first time? At £29.99 it may be worth it if you love dungeon based titles!
