Design
This monitor looks fantastic. It has hardly any bezel, and I liked the black and red design. I’ve never used a curved gaming monitor before, and I was impressed by how much of a difference it made to my gaming experience. I’m not sure if it was just in my mind, but the curved aspect of the monitor seemed to make for a more immersive experience.
The stand is extremely useful as it allows you to move the screen up and down, as well as tilting and pivoting it to suit your needs.
Functionality and connectivity
The monitor doesn’t come with a remote control. Instead, there is an integrated joystick button on the back of the monitor. I did find this easy to use to navigate the on-screen display. However, I must say that I did miss the option of being able to change settings, with a remote. Yes I know, this isn’t a TV!
The monitor comes with a good number of connectivity inputs including; 2 x HDMI, 1 x DisplayPort, 5 x USB and 2 x 6W speakers. There is also a gaming headset pop-out stand at the back of the monitor.
Picture and gaming
Advertised as a gaming monitor, I was keen to see how it performed when gaming on a PC, and an Xbox One. Let’s say that I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest! There are a number of optimised preset gaming modes available, including; FPS, MOBA and RTS.
The 32″ WQHD 1440p monitor provides a high-quality image, and I didn’t notice any lag, tearing or ghosting while gaming thanks to the AMD FreeSync ability.
The ViewSonic® XG3240C is a 32″ WQHD 144Hz gaming monitor with the perfect amount of curve for immersive gaming on both PC and console. XG3240C’s 144Hz refresh rate keeps your gameplay tear-free, while AMD FreeSync gives you smooth, fluid visuals during fast-paced action. Specialized gaming presets take the experience one step further and allow you to fine-tune screen performance based on your type of game.

The built-in speakers aren’t brilliant but they’re more than good enough and the volume is very good.
Conclusion
The Viewsonic XG3240C has been an absolute pleasure to use. The monitor provides both great visuals and excellent performance. The XG3240C is a superb gaming monitor which offers a pleasing and immersive experience on both PC and console, in my experience, the Xbox One.
For the price, you’re getting a lot of gaming monitor, and a great quality one at that! If you want a 32-inch WQHD curved monitor that offers both great visuals and great performance, this could be the one for you!
