Kiwi Design provided five VR accessories to try out for my review of their product.

Kiwi Design sent me five VR accessories to try out for this review. See what I thought of the accessories below in my breakdown of the five I received.

Being my first review on anything other than games, this was a new challenge for me. When the opportunity arrose to review a few of the products by Kiwi Design, I was eager to give it a shot. Kiwi Design sent FIVE great products that not only made VR streaming easier for me but also more comfortable, I used these products for over six hours in one sitting and not once did I feel uncomfortable.

If you don’t know what Kiwi Design specializes in then look no further. They produce and design some of the best accessories for Oculus Quest 2, Rift S, Oculus Quest, and Valve Index that are on the market, which also enhances any content creator or any VR gamer’s experience. They prioritize their customers’ happiness, which I can say they did with me, and honestly if I needed anything else Kiwi Design would be the place I would look first. Their delivery was quick, the products came in great condition – no damage to the boxes and packaged extremely well.

Kiwi Design Controller Grip Covers for the Quest 2

The first product I tested was their Controller Grip Covers for the Quest 2. No idea how I used my controllers before being sent this product, it has blown me away as it was so much better. This was a great improvement especially when streaming for several hours. The controller grips come in many different varieties of colours too. You can choose from colours including blue, red, pink, purple, black, and white.

Kiwi Design sent a black set of controller grips which not only looked good but felt nice to use. With its wide hand strap, the controller grips are suitable for all hand sizes. Which was great for me since I have large hands. You can also tighten the strap using the non-stick pull string which makes it more secure when using your controllers. If you were to lose or damage the string, do not stress, they come with a spare.

A feature of the controller grip that caught my eye was the fact that it had a battery compartment. This made changing batteries easier since you didn’t have to remove the entire cover. The controller grip also has very clear instructions when applying the grips to your controller. These stylish controller grips made me feel more secure when playing games and more comfortable. The price of these varies. But the ones I kindly received are £40.00 currently on sale for £28.00. What a deal!

Kiwi Design Link Cable

The second product Kiwi Design graciously provided made using my Oculus Quest 2 better. The charging was much better and the quality being phenomenal. The cable has a 10000x Bend Capacity using the highest quality of cables. This included taking away the experiences of no lag or delay when charging.

The Kiwi Design Link Cable Type C 10FT, or 3M to some, made charging so much faster. This would mean I could get back to gaming on the VR faster. Rather than waiting for my original Oculus Quest 2 charger to charge my VR headset. This was a huge improvement for me, and it was noticeable.

The Link Cable is long enough for me to be able to play my games. This stops the issue of me getting tangled up. The USB C has a 90 degree angle end, which made it safer whilst I used my headset. Pricing of the link cables again varies but the one I received is currently £20.00 on sale now for £17.00!

Kiwi Design Facial Interface

Now if you are like me and you enjoy streaming for a long period of time, then you tend to sweat – especially around the face. My last face piece for my Quest 2 used to leave markings on my face. This would also make it very uncomfortable causing more issues than good. The amazing people at Kiwi Design fixed this issue with their top of the range Facial Interface. Firstly, it feels like a dream when it’s on my face. Including when I have used it for a long period of time. It just feels so relaxing that sometimes I forget it is even there. The material is a soft, 0.63″ thickened face pad made of premium quality PU leather. This makes it sweatproof, preventing allergies or fading.

A high-elasticity sponge also allows you to see your screen more clearly, improving your field of view. The Facial Interface has a nose piece that solves the problem of light leakage when gaming, which is truly a huge improvement and ensures there is perfect airflow, so your lenses will never fog up.

With this product I also received a lens protector. This helps stop any dust, dirt, or scratches on the lens of the headset. The product is extremely easy to install, making sure you can jump into a game session in less than a couple of minutes! Like everything all things come with a price, and this is currently on sale from 36.00 down to £30.00!

Kiwi Design Upgraded Battery Strap

Now when streaming using the VR there has always been one issue for me and that is comfortability. My Oculus Quest 2 has been with me for just over 3 years now. With the Kiwi Design Upgraded Battery Strap, I have never felt more comfortable using it.

With ideal head support and weight distribution, it has your comfort in mind – making it more bearable to wear for extended periods of time. At the base of the head strap, there is a thick and wide piece of foam. This is similar to the Facial Interface. Making the back of your head feel as comfortable as your face, easing the pressure and supporting the back of your head. I can honestly say that it feels wonderful while still using the same top quality PU leather!

The hinge on the headset allows you to flip at 52 degrees. So you can still check your surroundings without fully removing the headset. The comfort strap that is adjustable to all different head sizes ranging from 17.7 to 29.5 inches. So anyone can use this! Plus there’s a dial that can help tighten or loosen the head strap making you feel more comfortable.

The best part is that there is no issue when charging using only one cable to charge both your headset and battery! For the price of £76.00 you cannot go wrong, right? WRONG! Kiwi Design Clip on Headphones

Kiwi Design have created some of the most incredible headphones I have ever used, and they’re fantastic! This was my final accessory to review. When it came to VR, the Kiwi Design Clip on Headphones improved my entire stream. They are easy to use, just clip them on the side of your Kiwi Design Upgraded Battery Strap. You are all ready to go to experience VR in an entirely different light.

These headphones are awesome! I can hear everything from my game to the sound alerts from my viewers. They are soft, comfortable, and engineered to fit perfectly in whatever angle you choose to use them. I no longer have to use large headphones to play VR. They have a customizable fit that swings 14 degrees with 147 adjustable angles and a 25mm slide distance. Every result, you can always find the ideal fit.

The sound quality is perfect. It delivers the true VR experience in whatever game or activity you partake. A punchy yet smooth bass and a tuned mid/high immersive soundstage. A wide dynamic range perfect for any content creator or just someone looking for the perfect VR experience.
