Everything Announced during Playstation’s State of Play (June 2022)

In the announcement post for tonight’s State of Play, Sony promised PS VR2 news and plenty of third party announcements! With an abundance of exciting reveals, Playstation certainly delivered! We’ve rounded up all the announcements from the event so let’s get straight into our Rapid Recap of Playstation’s June 2022 State of Play!

Resident Evil 4 Remake | Coming 24th March 2023

PlayStation started the State of Play strong with a date and announcement reveal for the much-anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake. There’s less than a year to wait as RE4 Remake releases 24th March 2023. Plus, PS VR2 content is in development!

PS VR2 Reveals Aplenty!

Up next was a selection of PS VR2 Trailer Reveals. From fighting zombies to exploring the cosmos, it’s looking as if PS VR2 will provide a variety of games for players to experience!

Good things on the Horizon | Call of the Mountain PS VR2 Game + Updates to Forbidden West

Sony showed us some gorgeous first-look gameplay at the promised Horizon PS VR2 experience; in addition to announcing some updates to Forbidden West including New Game + (with new weapons/trophies!), improved visual fidelity to the performance mode, new changeable outfits, a reset skills option, and an ultra-hard difficulty!

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PC Edition Revealed | August 12th 2022

A surprise to be sure but a welcome one! Get ready to search The Web and then shoot a web as Insomniac’s Spider-Man swings onto PC August 12th 2022.

Stray – New Trailer + Release Date Reveal | July 19th 2022

More news on the long-awaited open-world dystopian cat adventure? Yes, please! You can sink your claws into Stray when it arrives July 19th 2022 (Premium and Deluxe PS+ Members will get access to Stray for free on launch!)

With an updated logo and an early peek at a potential open world, the latest trailer for Street Fighter 6 certainly delivered. There’s still no news on an exact release date but the game will be punching its way onto PlayStation sometime next year!

There we have it, Sony has kicked off Summer Game Fest with some super reveals!
