Creative Aurvana Ace 2
The Creative Aurvana Ace 2 wireless earbuds are a bold step into the future of audio technology, with a unique combination of xMEMS drivers and dynamic drivers, all wrapped up in a sleek, translucent design. Here is our Rapid Review.
Design

The Aurvana Ace 2 features a sleek and modern design with a focus on portability and comfort. The Aurvana Ace 2 earbuds and their charging case are translucent black with copper accents which adds a touch of futuristic flair. The lightweight build and soft eartips make it ideal for extended listening sessions, whether you’re on the go or relaxing at home.
Comfort
Comfort is super important, especially for earbuds that you’ll be using for a long time. The Aurvana Ace 2 totally nails it in this area, thanks to its lightweight build and soft ear tips.

Each earbud only weighs 4.7 grams, so they’re super comfy even during long listening sessions. Plus, they come with a bunch of different ear tip sizes to make sure you get a secure and comfy fit.
Sound Quality
Creative has a reputation for delivering excellent sound quality, and the Aurvana Ace 2 definitely lives up to it! These earbuds have xMEMS and 10mm dynamic drivers that provide a balanced and customisable audio experience.
The standout feature of the Aurvana Ace 2 are the xMEMS drivers. As soon as I started listening to my favourite songs, I noticed how detailed and clear the vocals and instruments sounded. When listening to classical music, I was amazed at how clearly I could hear the different instruments.
The earbuds offer a balanced sound signature with a little extra bass, which you can adjust using the in-app equalizer. Whether you’re listening to your favorite tunes, watching movies, or gaming, the Aurvana Ace 2 delivers immersive audio that brings your media to life.
Adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Mode
While it’s not the best I’ve used, that title goes to the Apple AirPods Max. However, the Creative Aurvana Ace 2’s adaptive hybrid ANC does a decent job in everyday environments. When wearing the earbuds in a relatively noisy environment, the Ace 2’s were able to effectively block out distractions and create a quiet environment for listening to music or making calls. However, I did notice that they struggled a little when there were louder sounds like loud conversations, wind noise, or sudden noises.
Ambient mode on the Aurvana Ace 2 lets you hear your surroundings without taking out the earbuds, which is helpful in situations where you need to be aware of what’s going on around you. Examples of this would be crossing busy roads or listening out for announcements. However, the Ambient mode’s performance was inconsistent at times and certain noises felt more amplified.
You can switch between modes using the touch controls on the earbuds or through the app.
Codecs and Connectivity
Another outstanding features of the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 earbuds is the support for a wide range of Bluetooth profiles and codecs, including:
- Bluetooth® 5.3: This is the latest version of Bluetooth.
- LE Audio Mode: This is a technology that enables audio streaming over Bluetooth Low Energy
- Unicast (CIS): This is a type of audio stream used in Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio
- Broadcast Mode: This is a feature that allows audio to be shared between multiple devices.
- aptX Lossless: This is a high-quality codec that can deliver CD-quality audio (16-bit/44.1kHz).
- aptX Adaptive: This codec dynamically adjusts the bitrate to provide the best possible balance of audio quality and latency.
- aptX: This is a widely supported codec that offers good audio quality.
- AAC: This is a popular codec that is commonly used with Apple devices.
- SBC: This is the standard codec that is supported by all Bluetooth devices.
- LC3: This is a newer codec that offers improved audio quality and lower power consumption compared to SBC.
The inclusion of aptX Lossless and LC3 makes the Aurvana Ace 2 a good choice for those who want the best possible audio quality from their wireless earbuds.
Battery Life
The Aurvana Ace 2 battery life is about average for true wireless earbuds and in my testing, I was able to get around the 6 hour mark of total playtime without using Active Noise Cancellation and about 4 hours when using ANC. When fully charged, the case provides an additional 3 charges, bringing the total playtime to around 24 hours with ANC off and up to 16 hours of total playtime with ANC on.

If you’ve forgotten to charge your earbuds and you need a quick charge, just 10 minutes of fast charging will provide 60 minutes of listening time. For a full charge, you’re looking at around 2 hours or so. You can charge the Aurvana Ace 2 using a USB-C cable or using a Qi-compatible wireless charger.
In Conclusion
Overall, the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 offers an impressive combination of sound quality, comfort, and portability, making it an excellent choice for audiophiles and casual listeners alike. Whether you’re at home, in the office, or on the move, these headphones deliver an immersive audio experience that enhances any listening session.
